Glass Roof
The glass in the roof comes in several finishes and all with an Activ Self-Cleaning film to keep maintenance to a minimum. With black warm edge spacers and filled with argon gas all units are A-Rated giving great thermal efficiency to your new conservatory.
Compared to a polycarbonate roof, glass conservatory roofs are typically quieter when it rains. Plus, the insulation within double glazed roofs provides extra soundproofing, so you can enjoy your garden even if you live near a busy road or celebrate a little longer into the evening without disturbing the neighbours. All quotes come with a computer-aided design image (CAD) allowing you to make the right choice. This also shows all opening frames, colours and finishes taking care of the finer details to give you the space you have always dreamed of.
All of our conservatory installations are carried out to comply with building regulations and are installed by our specialist fitting teams. Like all of our installations, your conservatory is covered with a 10-year company guarantee and insurance backed warranty to reassure you your conservatory has been perfectly installed.
Polycarbonate Roof
Polycarbonate is a strong thermoplastic material that is lightweight and can withstand extremely low and high temperatures. This durable and practical roofing material is perfect for conservatories.
The main draw of polycarbonate conservatory roofs is their price. They are much more affordable than glass roofs and so maybe a better choice if you are working on a strict budget. This allows homeowners to enjoy the luxury of a warm, cosy conservatory but without the expense.
Polycarbonate roofing is often used in conservatories and other rooms that require natural light to be let in through the roof. All roofing panels also come with a protective film layer to filter out the sun’s UV rays.
Polycarbonate panels can withstand force and are virtually unbreakable. Therefore, they are used in the construction of bulletproof police shields. The UV blockage is another huge advantage of these panels. As the panels are extremely light in weight, they can be easily transported and installed wherever they are required.
These panels are resistant to heat, sunlight, snow, and rain, which enable them to last for many years without fading or discolouring. They are available in a choice of finishes including clear, bronze and opal.
